Welcome to Tumbling Shoals Hilltop Bostons, where we are passionate about connecting families with delightful Boston Terriers! Nestled in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of Millers Creek, NC, we have been dedicated breeders since 2010. Our home is filled with love, laughter, and plenty of playful pups, all raised underfoot to ensure they are well-socialized and ready to become cherished family members.
We pride ourselves on our family-centered approach, where every puppy is nurtured with care and attention. We believe in providing ongoing support to families, helping you every step of the way as you welcome a new furry friend into your home. Application, Price, Registration, Microchip & Pickup
Please read all information before filling out an application.
$ Pricing
- $1600 - Puppy without breeding rights
- $1800 - Puppy with breeding rights
Holding Fee & Payments
A $200 Holding Fee is required when you choose your puppy and must be paid by debit/credit card.
Once your application is reviewed, approved, and your puppy choice is
confirmed, you'll receive an invoice link to pay the Holding Fee.
Remaining Balance Options
Cash at pickup, or Debit/credit card paid by invoice 24 hours before pickup.
Payments are accepted through invoice or via breedercloudpro pet portal. (Your Puppy's Pet Portal gives you access to their medical history, vaccines, microchip info, and puppy details.)
Financing available through Klarna by request.
Registration
All puppies are registered with AKC or CKC.
Registration is completed once the puppy is paid in full.
You will receive:
- A completed online registration
- A digital copy emailed to you
- A paper copy mailed directly to your home
Microchip
All puppies come microchipped for safety and identification.
Microchip registration is:
- Free for life through Fi Nano (registration card)
- Must be activated and updated by the new owner as needed
Pickup Information
All pickups take place at:
PetSmart - North Wilkesboro, NC
When puppies reach 8-9 weeks old, you'll receive a Google
scheduling link to choose your pickup date and time.
Puppies typically go home between 10-11 weeks old.
Go Home Bag
- Medical record: 1st & 2nd vaccine, Microchipped, information
packet
- Food, collar, leash, blanket with moms and siblings' scent, a
snuggle puppy & puppy pads for the ride home
- Free 30-day accident and illness insurance from Trupanion

Bostons:
- First-come, first-served:
Must submit application first
Families are contacted in the order application was
received.
- Updates along the way:
We share pregnancy news, due dates, birth
announcements, and availability. Fun fact: Bostons usually
only have 4-8 babies at a time.
- Puppy selection:
Matching begins around 4-5 weeks, once personalities
start to shine.
- Healthy, home-raised puppies:
Every puppy is vet-checked, vaccinated, dewormed, and
raised in our home with daily love.
- Go-home age:
Puppies are ready for their families at 10-11 weeks old.
- No pressure:
If the timing or litter isn't right, your application rolls
forward, and your spot is saved.
- Lifelong support:
We're here for you from the waitlist to puppyhood and
beyond.

Welcome to Tumbling Shoals Hilltop Bostons
My breeding journey began on a quiet hilltop in the Blue Ridge Mountains, where the wind carries stories and the Boston Terriers carry joy. What started as a single beloved companion soon blossomed into a lively family of Boston Terrier comedians who filled my home with laughter, snorts, and the kind of love that lingers in every corner of a house.
As the seasons turned, I felt called to share that magic with others. And so, Tumbling Shoals Hilltop Bostons was born, not as a kennel, but as a true home where puppies are raised under the same roof as my children, grandchildren, and a chorus of Boston siblings. Here, every puppy grows up surrounded by warmth, mountain air, and the gentle rhythm of family life.
Nestled on a peaceful ten-acre hilltop in Millers Creek, North Carolina, our family has been raising Boston Terriers with intention, devotion, and mountain home heart for decades. I'm Tanya, mother of six, grandmother of eleven, great-grandmother of two, and a proud breast cancer survivor. By my side is my youngest daughter, Nat, a dedicated college student studying forensics and criminology. Together, we pour our hearts into this family run breeding program.
I've called this hilltop home since 1989, my childhood home, and today it's shared with thirteen beloved Boston Terriers who live right here with us not in kennels, but as part of our daily life. Our journey began with our first two Bostons, Cheyenne and Shiloh, and from that moment on, we knew this breed was something extraordinary.
Here on the hilltop, Boston Terriers are more than dogs, they are companions with bright eyes, gentle spirits, and joyful bursts of play. They weave themselves into the rhythm of family life, whether they are tagging along for quiet porch mornings, curling up at your feet after a long day, or greeting every visitor like an old friend. Their presence turns ordinary moments into cherished memories.
Bred for companionship and known for their intelligence, loyalty, and adaptability, Boston Terriers thrive when they are part of the everyday bustle. Their love is steady, their charm effortless, and their ability to make any house feel like home is unmatched.
