Welcome to Southern Idaho Dachshunds — where our love for Miniature Dachshunds is more than a business… it’s part of our everyday life. Nestled in the Idaho countryside on 14 beautiful acres, our dogs are raised with plenty of room to run, explore, and simply be dogs.
We currently have three breeding females and one handsome stud, all of whom are cherished members of our family. Our dachshunds are raised in a loving, hands-on environment and are well socialized from an early age. Whether we’re working around the property, spending time outdoors, or heading to the mountains for new adventures, our dogs are always right there beside us.
Health and quality are extremely important to us. All of our breeding-age dogs are DNA tested to help ensure no known genetic issues are passed on to their offspring. We are committed to responsible breeding practices and strive to produce healthy puppies with excellent temperaments, strong genetics, and loving personalities.
Our goal is to raise Miniature Dachshunds that make wonderful companions, family pets, and lifelong adventure buddies. At Southern Idaho Dachshunds, every puppy is raised with love, care, and plenty of attention from the very beginning. 🐾

At Southern Idaho Dachshunds, Miniature Dachshunds have been part of our lives and family for over 20 years. What started as a love for the breed quickly became a lifelong passion. Over the years, these little dogs have been by our side through everyday life, family adventures, mountain trips, and countless memories. They are more than just pets to us — they are loyal companions, best friends, and part of our family.
We fell in love with the Miniature Dachshund breed because of their huge personalities, intelligence, loyalty, and playful spirit. Even though they are small in size, they have some of the biggest hearts and bring so much joy into a home. Their courage, affection, and unique personalities are what made us dedicate ourselves to raising and caring for them for the past two decades.
As breeders, our goal has always been about more than simply raising puppies. We are passionate about helping better the breed through responsible breeding practices, proper care, health testing, and education. All of our breeding-age dogs are DNA tested to help ensure healthy bloodlines and reduce the risk of passing on known genetic conditions to future generations.
Living in the Idaho countryside on 14 acres gives our dachshunds room to explore, play, and enjoy life right alongside us. Our dogs are part of our everyday routines and go on adventures with our family whenever they can. They are raised with love, attention, and plenty of socialization from the very beginning.
One of the most meaningful parts of this journey has been sharing it with our children. Raising Miniature Dachshunds has helped teach our kids responsibility, compassion, hard work, and the importance of caring for animals properly. It has become something our entire family enjoys together and takes pride in.
