When we lost him, we made a promise to honor everything he gave us. That promise became this business.

HOW IT ALL STARTED
It started with a school mascot.
When our family moved to Kearney, the local school's bulldog mascot was impossible to ignore — and honestly, it did not take much convincing. We had always been drawn to the breed, and before long, Phoenix came home. He was everything an English Bulldog is supposed to be — stubborn, silly, endlessly entertaining, and somehow convinced that he was the actual head of the household. He grew up alongside our three kids, Kenzie, Drake, and Sierra, and for years he was the heartbeat of our home. The one who greeted you at the door. The one who somehow always ended up in the best spot on the couch. The one who made ordinary days feel a little warmer just by being in the room.
We lost Phoenix in 2024 in an accident. He was six years old. The house felt different without him — quieter in a way that had nothing to do with noise. Grief like that has a way of demanding that you do something with it. For me, that something became Rising Phoenix Bulldogs.
WHY I DO THIS
I spent ten years as an Operations Manager at Wells Fargo and over a decade in education — but what I really wanted was more time with my family and more of the things that made life feel full. I left the classroom because I had developed what I can only describe as a full-blown bulldog addiction. The plan was simple: breed English Bulldogs, surround myself with them, and keep as many as possible.
My family had other thoughts about that plan.
So instead of collecting them all for myself — which, let's be honest, was absolutely the goal — I decided to share the breed with others. To find families who would love them the way we loved Phoenix. To place puppies in homes where they would become someone else's heartbeat. That decision became Rising Phoenix Bulldogs, officially founded in July 2023 and named for the dog who started it all.
